On February 7, 2023, the former general director of the separated division "Energoatom-Trading" of SE "NAEK "Energoatom" NABU and SAP were informed about the suspicion of abuse of official position. Qualification: Part 2 Art. 364 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

 The investigation established that in September 2020, SE "NAEK "Energoatom" organized an auction for the sale of electric energy. 32 companies took part in it. The suspect (currently the head of one of the branches of Ukrzaliznytsia) created the conditions under which the winner was the "necessary" company that purchased electricity at a price of only UAH 1,120 for 1 MW/h. While other auction participants offered more favorable prices - up to UAH 1,300.00 for 1 MW/h.

 As a result of the sale of 1,465,000 MW/h of electricity at an undervalued price, the state-owned enterprise lost UAH 93.76 million.
