The Ministry of Defense officially confirmed the arrival of Challenger 2 tanks to Ukraine

The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine officially confirmed that British Challenger 2 tanks have arrived in Ukraine.

Iryna Zolotar, press secretary of the Ministry of Defense, told AFP about this on Monday.

"They (Challenger 2 tanks. - Ed.) are already in Ukraine," Zolotar said, without providing other details.

On Tuesday morning, the Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Oleksiy Reznikov, published a video of British tanks in Ukraine.

Earlier on Monday, Reznikov said that, together with the paratroopers, he had the honor to "run a new addition to our armored units" - Challenger from Britain, Stryker & Cougar from the USA and Marder from Germany.

Reznikov highly praised the British tanks, calling them works of "military art".

"After personally "piloting" the Challenger as a participant in trophy raids, I can say that even a Rolls Royce driver will not be as comfortable as the crew of this work of martial art on off-road," the minister noted.

As EP reported, a group of Ukrainian soldiers returned to Ukraine after completing training in Britain on Challenger 2 tanks.
