The decision to liberate Crimea should be made by the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi, as head of state. However, in this matter he should take into account the will of Ukrainians.

 This was stated by US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, according to Tagesschau and NTV.

 "Ukraine is a democratic country. President Volodymyr Zelenskyі is responsible for leading the country... But he must also be open to the will of Ukrainians," said Blinken.

 He added that the United States and many other countries have promised to help Ukraine, as well as to protect its sovereignty and independence.

 "This includes a counteroffensive that will probably begin in the coming weeks," the US Secretary of State emphasized.

 Blinken also emphasized that the US will continue to provide Ukraine not only with military aid, but also support in the development of its medium and long-term potential.
