Negotiations between Ukraine, Russia, Turkey and the UN on the continuation of the "grain agreement" began in Istanbul. This was stated by the Minister of National Defense of Turkey Hulusi Akar, writes Yeni Safak.

"Today, a meeting of the deputy defense ministers of Turkey, Russia, Ukraine and UN representatives began in Istanbul. We are continuing our negotiations to ensure that this business does not stop and that stability is maintained," said Akar.

The minister also noted that thanks to the "grain agreement" signed on July 22, 2022, it was possible to transport 30 million tons of grain. He added that it has "practical value" both regionally and globally.
