President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky expresses confidence in strengthening the country's long-range capabilities and compares this process to receiving F-16 aircraft. This was reported by the head of state in a statement released by the Presidential Press Service.
Speaking to reporters in Washington, the President said that Ukraine is actively working to obtain long-range weapons, and the results of this work will become evident over time.
Zelensky emphasized that he had held important meetings in the US capital, including with congressmen. The parties discussed some plans and the assistance Ukraine needs.
"The White House also noted that we talked to congressmen. The Pentagon also approached me about this. My voice is heard, and it is precisely these direct conversations that should be held," the president said.
Zelensky also praised Ukraine's ability to receive long-range ATACMS missiles from the United States. He noted that this is about strengthening Ukraine's long-range capabilities.
"We have been working on this issue for a very long time and hard. And it will be the same as with the F-16. We understand what will happen. And the moment will come when we will see it all," he emphasized.
