Shariy's extradition to Ukraine may take about a year - Venediktova

The extradition process to Ukraine of the blogger Anatoly Shariy, who is suspected of treason, may last up to a year. This was announced by the Prosecutor General of Ukraine Irina Venediktova during a telethon.

 

"The extradition process is always very long. With the most positive process it can go 3-6 months, and so, this story can go up to a year. It is important for us to go to the end," said the prosecutor general.

 

She also stressed that now the blogger is not under arrest, but in the procedure of extradition arrest and extradition.
