Ukraine at the UN warned other countries against buying stolen grain

States that would buy agricultural products stolen from Ukraine from Russia can be considered involved in the crime of kidnapping. This was stated in the UN Security Council by advisor to the Permanent Representative of Ukraine to the UN Serhiy Dvornyk.

This is reported by Ukrinform.

The diplomat noted that Russia, having unleashed a war, struck a blow to global food security. The export of Ukrainian products has almost stopped due to Russia's blocking of ports on the Black Sea.

According to him, another threat is Russia's actions to confiscate Ukrainian grain for its own consumption or illegal sale on international markets. Russian occupiers have already stolen at least 400-500 thousand tons of grain.

"Ukraine has already warned consumer countries that batches of grain exported by Russia may contain stolen Ukrainian grain. Any country that knowingly buys this grain will be considered complicit in the crime," Dvornik said.

The advisor of the Permanent Representative of Ukraine to the UN also noted that there should be no doubt as to who is responsible for the possible starvation of millions of people in Asia, Africa and other parts of the world and in the occupied territories of Ukraine.

We recall that Russian ships transporting stolen Ukrainian grain to Syria were caught on satellite images. Russia uses three ships for this purpose, one of which is the bulk carrier Matros Pozinich.
