The defense ministers of more than 40 countries of the world at the talks on Monday, according to Ukraine, must decide on the transfer of the American MLRS multiple-launch rocket systems to Ukraine.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said this during a joint briefing with Portuguese Prime Minister António Costa in Kyiv.

Zelensky considers the very fact of the online meeting positive, but believes that the real positive will be the very acceptance of deliveries of the American complex.

"We expect a positive on MLRS deliveries... We are appealing to all countries for MLRS deliveries, thanks to which Ukraine will be able to take the initiative and free its territory," he said.

Most likely the question is about the American MLRS-270, which depending on the type of the missile can lead the aiming fire at a distance of up to 300 km.

He appealed to representatives of countries that are afraid to provide Ukraine with the appropriate weapons seemingly because of their possible use for an offensive against Russia, and recalled, the AFU is fighting a war on its own territory. "If some of the countries of Europe are used to the fact that Donbass is the occupied territory of Russia, I want to say that this is not a good habit. This is our territory," the president stressed.

Zelensky also said that the Russian Federation is blackmailing other states by trying to disrupt the transfer of MLRS systems to Ukraine.
