In Mariupol, about 200 bodies were found under a destroyed apartment building

In Mariupol, about 200 dead bodies were found in the basement of a multi-storey building during debris removal. It was a house in the area of suburban gas station 2 on Mira Avenue.

This was reported by the adviser of the mayor of Mariupol Peter Andryushchenko in Telegram.

"Due to the refusal of the local to collect and pack the bodies of the dead, the RF Ministry of Emergency Situations left the place of work. The bodies of the dead were left at the site, because of the partially dismantled rubble stench can be heard almost the entire block," Andryushchenko wrote.

He also said that due to the introduction of burial and exhumation work by the so-called "State Corporation "Ritual" from Donetsk, the process of reburial from the yards of multi-storey buildings is actually stopped.

"For an "official" free reburial, one must wait in line, bring the body of the deceased to the "morgue" on one's own, issuing that the dead body has only been found, or agree to a video recording where the applicant says that he was killed specifically by the Ukrainian army. Because of such conditions in the makeshift morgue near the Metro, a large number of corpses are stacked in bags on the street, and the city has become a solid cemetery," Andryushchenko noted.
