Ukrainian banks raised the dollar exchange rate

After the National Bank canceled a 10% margin on the official rate, the dollar exchange rate in Ukrainian banks rose sharply. At the same time, the exchange rate by cards significantly differs from the purchase and sale of cash currency.

 

This is evidenced by market monitoring data.

 

In particular, May 24, in the branches of PrivaBank set the following rates:

 

dollar: 36.30 hryvnia - purchase, 36.85 hryvnia - sale;

 

EUR: 38,20 UAH - buying, 39,00 UAH - selling;

 

For cards the following rates are set:

 

dollar: 29.2549 hryvnia - purchase, 32.5733 hryvnia - sale;

 

Euro: 31,1784 UAH - purchase, 34,7222 UAH - sale;

 

Oshchadbank:

 

dollar: 36.20 hryvnia - purchase, 37.00 hryvnia - sale;

 

Euro: UAH 37.70 - purchase, UAH 38.80 - sale;

 

Ukeximbank:

 

dollar: 32.00 hryvnia - purchase, 36.00 hryvnia - sale;

 

Euro: 34,12 UAH - buying, 38,39 UAH - selling;

 

Ukrgazbank:

National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) canceled restrictions on the exchange rate on May 21. Previously, cash quotations in banks were not allowed to deviate by more than 10% from the official rate of the NBU.

 

However, banks may sell only foreign currency they previously bought from the public. At the same time, some banks set the minimum dollar purchase rate at 31.50 hryvnyas and sell at 38 hryvnyas.
