Oil refining stopped in Ukraine - Yuriy Vitrenko

Ukraine's oil refining industry is completely shut down. All because of purposeful rocket attacks by Russia. This was stated by Yuriy Vitrenko, head of the board of Naftogaz of Ukraine, during a press conference in Kyiv.

According to Vitrenko, the missile attacks began actually from the first days of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Massive attacks of the occupant country complicated the logistics of oil products to the Ukrainian market, which, for its part, developed a shortage of fuel.

"Unfortunately, these strikes began actually from the first days of the war... All oil refining in Ukraine now because of the massive repeated attacks of the aggressor does not work and it is difficult to provide logistics of petroleum products to the Ukrainian market, due to which there is a deficit," - said Vitrenko.

"When we get a complete management and network of gas stations, when we solve the problem with logistics and we can get the resource to create a national reserve of petroleum products, then "Naftogaz" will be able to join the solution of problems in the fuel market and ensure stability, transparency, fair prices in this market," - said the head of the NAC.
