The Ukrainian military repulsed an attack by the Russian occupants in the direction of Mykolayivka-Spornoye. This was reported by the representative of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Oleksandr Motuzyanik during a briefing.

"Our defenders repulsed the enemy offensive in the direction of Mykolaivka-Spornoye. In the Bakhmut direction the occupants are advancing in the area of Rota - Vershina, now the fighting is continuing there," said Motuzyanik.

The General Staff reported that the enemy does not leave the hope to take control of the road Bakhmut - Lysychansk. In order to expose the firing positions of our units conducted reconnaissance combat in the direction of Nikolaevka - Spornoe, further - led an offensive in the specified direction. Ukrainian soldiers successfully suppressed all these attempts and forced the enemy to retreat.
