After the report about the installation of the Ukrainian flag on the liberated Zmiinyi Island, the Russian Federation tried to attack this region again.

This was stated by Natalia Gumenyuk, head of the press center of the Defense Forces in the south of Ukraine, during a telethon.

"The banner is on the island, it is waiting for its time. And the fact that it is there and the information message confused our enemies. They tried to do aerial reconnaissance. They probably tried to hit it, too. But when they saw the threat of the use of our weapons as their aircraft approached, they corrected their intentions and are staying away for now," she said.

As reported, the AFU has already completed a military operation on Zmiinyi Island. A Ukrainian flag has already been planted on the island.
