The Crimean bridge is a "legitimate target" for Ukraine - former NATO Secretary General

Ukraine can deal a crushing blow to the Kremlin by attacking the bridge across the Kerch Strait connecting mainland Russia with Crimea.

This was stated by U.S. General Philip Breedlove, former commander of NATO forces, The Times reported.

He stated that all bridges have their weaknesses and with the right target the Kerch Bridge could become unusable for some time.

The general added that an attack on the bridge by Ukraine would be justified.

"The Kerch Bridge is a legitimate target," Breedlove stated.

To strike, he believes, Harpoon missiles could be used to deliver a crushing blow to the bridge that connects the Kerch Strait and the Russian mainland.

We recall that earlier the Russians strengthened the defense of the Crimean bridge with new equipment due to the fear that it could be attacked by the Ukrainian military.

Earlier, it was reported that the Ukrainian Defense Ministry's Main Intelligence Directorate received detailed technical documentation of the Crimean bridge.
