Parliament is debating about the prohibition of travel of men from Ukraine - MP

The Verkhovna Rada is still not consistent in allowing men with no military experience to travel abroad. However, the country is in a military situation, and at any moment the state can demand mobilization of men who have not served, but the Armed Forces will demand their qualification. About the briefing said people's deputy, a member of the Committee on National Security, Defense and Disarmament Fedir Venislavsky.

"There is no consensus among people's deputies of Ukraine as to whether it is necessary to liberalize the possibility for certain categories of persons who do not serve in the Armed Forces, have not served in the army or have no military skills to travel abroad. However, as the President said, all citizens are equal. The main task of all Ukrainian people is to preserve our statehood, independence, and territorial integrity. Although today there is no urgent need for additional mobilization of men or military personnel in the Armed Forces or other units of the defense and security sector, mobilization calls are periodically made", - noted Venislavskyy.

He added that mobilization is still mandatory. At any time it may become necessary to additionally mobilize specific categories of persons, including those who have not done military service, but who have specialties which are urgently needed in the Armed Forces or the security and defense sector. Therefore, this issue is still under discussion and will not be resolved in the near future.
