The head of the military training unit of the Security Service of Ukraine, who was agitating his subordinates to go over to the side of the enemy, has been notified of suspicion of treason, the Prosecutor General's Office reports.
"Under the procedural guidance of the Prosecutor General's Office, the head of the military training unit of the SBU was notified of suspicion of treason (Part 1 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine)," the Prosecutor General's Office said in a statement.
According to the prosecutor's office, during February-March 2022, the suspect persuaded servicemen not to resist the armed forces of the aggressor state and to go over to the side of the enemy.
"Currently, the suspect has been remanded in custody," the message emphasizes.
The pre-trial investigation is conducted by the Main Investigative Department of the SBU during the operational support of the Main Department of Internal Security of the SBU.
In the message of the Ukrainian special service, it is noted that suspicion of treason has been presented to Acting Head of the Institute for Training of Legal Personnel of the SBU of the National University of Law named after Yaroslav Mudry.
