The two earthquakes in Liechtenstein came as lawmakers in the tiny Alpine principality were debating the merits and demerits of compulsory earthquake insurance.

 MP Bettina Petzold-Mehr only had time to warn that the probability that all citizens of Liechtenstein could be affected by the earthquake was high, and immediately after that the first small aftershock occurred.
