On September 30, the energy ministers of the EU member states gathered for an extraordinary meeting to agree on how to respond to record energy prices.
This is reported by "European Truth".
Ministers will try to reach a political agreement on the draft response measures proposed by the European Commission, which include reducing demand for electricity during peak hours of consumption and taxes on excess revenues of energy companies, which they want to direct, including to subsidies for consumers.
The ministers will also exchange views on responding to the highest gas prices.
In addition, Denmark, Germany and Sweden will inform their colleagues about the gas leak on the Nord Stream branches.
