The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported receiving a number of new threats to the embassies and consulates of Ukraine after the explosion at the diplomatic mission in Madrid.

 "Ukrainian embassies and consulates continue to receive threats. After the terrorist attack in Spain, the embassies in Hungary, the Netherlands, Poland, Croatia, Italy, the consulates general in Naples and Krakow, the consulates in Brno received blood-stained packages. The packages contained animal eyes. liquid of a characteristic color and had the appropriate smell. We are studying the content of this message," said Oleg Nikolenko, a representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, on Facebook.

 The spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs also informed that this is not all.

 "The entrance to the ambassador's apartment in the Vatican was vandalized, the embassy in Kazakhstan received a report of a mine attack, which was later not confirmed. The embassy in the United States received a letter with a photocopy of a critical article about Ukraine, but, like most other envelopes, this letter arrived simultaneously with the others from the territory of one European country," Nikolenko noted.

 "The Ukrainian side interacts with the law enforcement officers of foreign countries to investigate all cases of threats, identify the persons involved and bring them to justice. On the instructions of Dmytro Kuliba, all Ukrainian embassies and consulates have been placed under heightened security measures. We call on foreign governments to guarantee the maximum protection of Ukrainian diplomatic institutions in accordance with by the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations," the spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized.

 "We have reason to believe that there is a well-planned campaign of terror and intimidation of the embassies and consulates of Ukraine. Not having the opportunity to stop Ukraine on the diplomatic front, they are trying to intimidate us. However, I can immediately say that these attempts are futile.
