"Putin can attack Kyiv": Poland named the possible directions of Russia's offensive

During the new offensive on Ukraine, Russian troops can go from two or three different directions. Russian dictator Vladimir Putin is probably planning to surround Kyiv again.

This was stated by Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki in an interview with Bild.

"I think the plan of Putin and his people, like Valery Gerasimov, his new commander-in-chief of the Russian army, is to encircle Ukraine. And while making all these plans, he probably feels that he needs to attack from two or three different directions. Therefore, I think that the Ukrainians cannot rule out an offensive from the Belarusian northern part of Ukraine in order to surround Kyiv from the west," Morawiecki believes.

He explained that now the winter is quite warm, which means that the land is not suitable for heavy tanks, artillery and other equipment.

"Therefore, Putin will probably want to wait until all the dirt, swamps and not very prepared ground for an offensive dries up," says Morawiecki.

"According to all the information that I have from Ukraine, I know that there will be another Russian offensive, maybe in March or April, and it will be a very hard offensive. I think that, unfortunately, it is not only filled with hatred for of Ukraine, but also wants to show his people once again that he is a long-term player who never gives up, and he will attack Kyiv again, yes, I have these fears," Morawiecki said.

He also noted that Putin has already mobilized quite a lot of troops, about 200,000 to 250,000 new soldiers.

"We must not forget that Russia's resources are really large, and it has deep pockets. It has a lot of ammunition, a lot of weapons and a lot of people," Moravetskyi concluded.

We will remind that both in Ukraine and abroad, statements and forecasts regarding a possible new offensive of the Russian Federation are being heard more and more often. In particular, Oleksiy Danilov, secretary of the National Security Council, said that the main battles are still ahead and escalation can be expected in the near future.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Defense believes that Russia may launch a second offensive on the anniversary of the full-scale invasion.
