Ukraine sent 30,000 tons of wheat to Ethiopia

Ukraine sent 30,000 tons of humanitarian wheat to Ethiopia as part of the "grain initiative".

 

 This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Infrastructure.

 

 It is reported that the bulk carrier DENIZ M, which will deliver 30,000 tons of wheat to Ethiopia, is already the 17th vessel chartered by the UN World Food Program. It is noted that under the auspices of the UN WFP, more than half a million tons of Ukrainian wheat have already been delivered to needy countries in Africa and Asia.

 

 So, today, three ships with 112.4 thousand tons of agricultural products for Africa and Asia left the ports of Great Odesa. Among them, the bulk carrier BC CALLISTO with 30.5 thousand tons of wheat, which is headed for Algeria, and the bulk carrier IOANNIS THEO, which will deliver 52 thousand tons of wheat to Vietnam.

 

 The Ministry of Infrastructure notes that four vessels loaded with 122,000 tons of agricultural products are moving along the "grain corridor".

 

 In total, since August 1, 2022, 833 vessels have left the ports of Greater Odesa, exporting 25.3 million tons of Ukrainian food to the countries of Asia, Europe and Africa.
