German Chancellor Olaf Scholz insists that the war in Ukraine must end with the withdrawal of Russian troops.
He said this after the EU summit in Brussels, reports Bild.
"It is quite clear how this war can end. Russia must withdraw its troops," Scholz said.
According to him, such a scenario of the end of the war is necessary to prevent Russian President Vladimir Putin from imposing his imperialist goals and changing borders in Europe by force.
Scholz also confirmed that the EU countries will support Ukraine as long as necessary.
This week, Scholz made it clear that he does not expect a quick end to Russian aggression in Ukraine.
Meanwhile, Germany continues to transfer weapons to Ukraine. German Marder infantry fighting vehicles, the provision of which Berlin announced in January, are already on their way to Ukraine.
