Belarusian army conducts training near the Suwalki corridor

The Ministry of Defense of Belarus has announced the start of military exercises at training grounds near the borders with Poland and Lithuania. These are command and staff exercises conducted together with the 6th Separate Mechanized Brigade to practice command and control of units during combat operations.


The maneuvers are taking place at the Gozka training ground and other areas in Grodno region, located near the border, as well as the Suwalki corridor, a conditional isthmus of the territory of these NATO member states between Belarus and Kaliningrad region.


"In the process of preparing the exercises, the experience of a special military operation was actively used, including the widespread use of unmanned aerial vehicles and close interaction between tank, motorized rifle and other units of various branches of the military," the Ministry of Defense reported.


The report does not mention the possible participation of members of the private military company "Wagner" in these exercises.
