Putin and Kim Jong-un's meeting: North Korea expressed support for Russia in "protecting national security"

On Wednesday, September 13, North Korean leader Kim Jong-un made his first statements during a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin at the Vostochny Cosmodrome, Russian media reported.


Kim Jong-un expressed his full support for all decisions made by Putin and expressed his belief that "Russia has risen to the sacred struggle to protect its security."


He emphasized the importance of close cooperation between Russia and North Korea in the "fight against imperialism."


As part of the visit to the Vostochny Cosmodrome, the Russian side demonstrated "Angara" missiles to Kim Jong-un. 


Earlier, the media reported that one of the possible topics of the meeting could be discussions of the supply of missiles from North Korea to Russia.
