Night drone attack: air defense shot down 5 "Shaheds"

Last night, Russian troops launched another air attack on the southern regions of Ukraine, using attack drones. The Ukrainian Air Defense Forces were working on the enemy targets, but there was also an "arrival". This was reported by Natalia Humeniuk, a spokeswoman for the Southern Defense Forces, and Vitaliy Kim, head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration.

Russian troops sent the kamikaze drones in two waves, each with three UAVs, and Mykolaiv and Kherson regions came under attack.

"That is, the total number is six (drones), and five of them were destroyed," the officer said.

Humeniuk clarified that two Shaheds were shot down by air defense forces in Mykolaiv region, and three more in Kherson region.

"Unfortunately, there was a hit to an infrastructure facility. A fire broke out, but it is not critical, it is localized, and rescuers are working," Humeniuk said about the "arrival" in Mykolaiv region.

She also said that no one was injured as a result of the incident.

According to Humeniuk, the enemy seems to have been looking for new tactics during the current air attack.

"They are adjusting and trying to find a way that will be most effective for them," she noted.

According to the head of the Mykolaiv RMA, on the night of October 27, enemy Shahed 131/136 strikes were recorded outside the city of Voznesensk.

"The hit caused a fire, which was localized at 06:00. There were no casualties," he said.
