Pashinyan: Armenia has not yet decided to withdraw from the CSTO

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said that Armenia has not yet decided whether to withdraw from the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO). He said this during a government hour in parliament.

"The CSTO, contrary to its commitments, has not responded appropriately to Armenia's security challenges, and this has been repeated several times. With all due respect to our CSTO colleagues, it is unclear why we go to these events (CSTO meetings) every time, repeat the same thing, and every time we do not get a proper response," Pashinyan said.

He also noted that security partners, including for objective reasons, cannot sell Armenia weapons and armaments.

The prime minister said that Yerevan asks its partners not to be offended, "but we must look for other security partners."

"We are looking for and finding these partners, trying to conclude agreements, buy weapons and military equipment. This is our policy," Pashinyan said.
