Russian troops attacked Ukraine with kamikaze drones at night and in the morning of January 5, causing damage in Cherkasy and Dnipropetrovsk regions.

The head of the Cherkasy regional military administration, Ihor Taburets, said that air defense forces destroyed five drones in his area of responsibility.


There were no casualties, but the debris damaged power lines. Three settlements were left without power, and two more were partially cut off. Emergency crews are working.


In Dnipropetrovsk region, Kryvyi Rih district was attacked, said the head of the RMA Serhiy Lysak. According to him, the military shot down six drones in the region. 


The wreckage fell on the territory of a non-operating enterprise. No one was injured.

The Russian attack continues, the Air Force has warned of groups of "Shahed" flying from the south and west in the direction of Starokostyantyniv, Khmelnytskyi region, where a military airfield is located.
