On Monday, January 8, a trolleybus caught fire in the Desnianskyi district of Kyiv, on Hradynska Street (Troyeshchyna), while it was moving. Preliminarily, an arson was reported from inside the cabin. This was reported by the KCMA.
"A trolleybus of route 37A caught fire in Troyeshchyna. All passengers left the vehicle in time. None of the passengers sought medical assistance," the KCMA said in a statement.
They noted that none of the trolleybus passengers were injured. Currently, Kyivpastrans specialists, rescue services, doctors and law enforcement agencies are working at the scene.
According to Kyivpastrans, the trolleybus was in good condition and had undergone the necessary routine maintenance before entering the route. According to a preliminary version, the fire was caused by arson from inside the cabin.
