Humeniuk on the explosions at the Belbek airfield: Russians admit five missiles were hit

The Russian invaders admitted that they did not have time to disperse the flight crew during yesterday's successful attack by Ukrainian aviation on the Crimean airfield of Belbek. This was stated by Colonel Natalia Humeniuk, head of the Joint Coordination Press Center of the Southern Defense Forces of Ukraine.

"Well, actually, the occupiers have already admitted that 5 missiles found shelter on the territory of the temporarily occupied Crimea. They even marked the places where it happened. And they admitted, among other things, that they did not have time to disperse the flight crew. In particular, the aircraft that were damaged in Belbek itself," she noted.

"And, of course, the Air Force commander confirmed that Crimea is Ukraine, and we are returning what is ours," the spokeswoman added.

When asked how many Russian air defense systems have been deployed to the Crimean peninsula, Humeniuk pointed to some changes in their location.

"No matter how many of them they have deployed, we will find each one and work with each one individually. In particular, the blocking of traffic on the Kerch bridge was again connected with the reorientation of air defense systems," said the spokeswoman.

"They are trying to improve the protection of those facilities that they consider to be strategically important. And we are closely monitoring these maneuvers and understand that, in principle, the location of air defense systems in a certain way indicates other objects that are worth our attention," she added.

Humeniuk also spoke about the Russian occupation army's aircraft in Belbek.

"Mostly tactical aviation is based in Crimea. These are various modifications of Su that take off and terrorize the Sea of Azov and the Black Sea. These are the areas where the enemy occasionally organizes so-called point missile attacks and flies out to gather information," the spokeswoman added.
