NATO Secretary General Stoltenberg says the Alliance has no plans to send troops to Ukraine

The North Atlantic Alliance has no plans to send combat troops to Ukraine amid reports that some Western countries are considering sending troops to the country. This was stated by NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, according to the Associated Press.

"NATO Allies are providing unprecedented support to Ukraine. We have been doing this since 2014 and have stepped up after the full-scale invasion. But there are no plans to deploy NATO combat troops in Ukraine," he said.

It is worth noting that other Western leaders also reacted to Macron's statement.

The Swedish prime minister made it clear that he had no intention of sending troops to Ukraine.

"The French tradition is not a Swedish tradition. I respect France's desire to help Ukraine. Now we are fully engaged in sending advanced equipment from Sweden to Ukraine in various ways, as many other countries do," Ulf Kristersson said.

He believes that the issue of sending European troops is "not relevant" and Ukraine "does not demand it."

Similarly, the Czech Republic reported that it is not going to send its military to Ukraine. This was stated by Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala, who is taking part in a conference in support of Ukraine in Paris.
