Terrorists who attacked Crocus tried to escape to Belarus: what is known

Ambassador of Belarus to Russia Dmitry Krutoy said that the terrorists who carried out a terrorist attack in the Crocus shopping center in Moscow were not trying to escape to Ukraine. According to him, they wanted to get to Belarus. This was reported by BelTA on Saturday, March 23.

Krutoy actually contradicted the words of Russian President Vladimir Putin, who said that the terrorists were moving towards Ukraine. The Russian president said that a "window" was allegedly prepared for them there.

"Since yesterday, active cooperation has been carried out through special services. The head of the State Security Committee is in direct contact with his colleague. In fact, the main task last night was to prevent terrorists from crossing our common border. Such a task has been accomplished. Maximum security measures were introduced," emphasized Krutoy.
