Last night, Russian troops tried to attack the Dniester HPP with missiles, but they were shot down on the approach to the facility. This was reported by Ruslan Zaparaniuk, head of the Chernivtsi RMA.
"During the morning attack, the enemy tried to hit the Dniester HPP. Air defense forces shot down the missiles near this important facility," the head of the region said in a statement.
According to him, the wreckage of two missiles has already been found.
The blast wave damaged the administrative building and the water supply system in the village of Ozheve, Dniester district, where the debris fell. At the same time, water supply is carried out as usual.
"Fortunately, people were not injured. Law enforcement officers are currently conducting investigations. Teams have been formed to inspect the area and a special commission has been formed to determine the damage," added the head of the region.
