GUR and AFU organized attack on three Russian airfields, Tu-95MS was damaged - sources

On the night of April 5, the Main Directorate of Intelligence and the Armed Forces of Ukraine organized an operation that struck three Russian airfields. In particular, Tu-95MS bombers were damaged. This was reported by sources in the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

According to sources in the GUR, at least three Tu-95MS strategic bombers were probably seriously damaged at the Engels-2 airfield as a result of the drone attack. Seven occupants were killed there, including bomber pilots.

Another target of the attack was a military airfield in the city of Yeysk. As a result of Ukrainian drone strikes, at least four occupants were killed and two enemy Su-25s completely burned down.

The interlocutors also reported the destruction of another airfield in Kursk. The results of this attack are still being reported.

"The night of April 5 was one of the blackest for Russian strategic aviation and aviation in general. The consequences of this attack alone will be felt by the occupiers in the long term. But this is not the last such operation, as they say, "we have not started yet," said the interlocutor from the GUR.
