Russia has changed tactics of attacks on Ukraine's energy system, losses are worse than in 2023 - FT

The Russian Federation has changed its tactics of attacking Ukraine's energy infrastructure. The damage has become worse than during the massive attacks in 2022-2023. This was reported by the Financial Times.

Instead of massive shelling, the terrorists focused on striking power plants in less protected regions with precision missiles. Some of them may not be able to be restored until next winter.

According to Ukrainian officials, the damage caused by Russia is not as extensive, but worse than in the winter of 2022-2023.

On March 22-29, the enemy struck seven thermal power plants and two hydroelectric power plants. At the same time, the Russians did not target Kyiv's energy facilities, as the capital has one of the best air defense systems.

"Ukraine did not provide details of the extent of damage at each plant, but officials said some, including one in Kharkiv region near the Russian border, were almost completely destroyed," the FT adds.
