Russia storms Chasiv Yar: how many occupiers were used to attack the city

Russian occupants have focused their offensive on the city of Chasiv Yar in Donetsk region. Currently, more than 20 thousand occupants are storming the city. This was stated by the spokesman for the Khortytsia operational and strategic grouping of troops, Nazar Voloshyn, on the air of "Suspilne. Studio".

According to Voloshyn, units of the 217th Parachute Regiment of the 98th Airborne Division of the Russian Airborne Forces are fighting against the Ukrainian military on the frontline near the city of Chasiv Yar.

"On the section opposite Chasiv Yar, Russian paratroopers from the 217th Parachute Regiment of the 98th Airborne Division of the Russian Air Force are fighting against us. These are about 20-25 thousand Russian servicemen trying to storm Chasiv Yar and the outskirts of the settlements near it," Voloshyn said.

He added that the Russian Federation constantly storms Ukrainian positions, but fails to gain a foothold and retreats.

"The Russian army keeps trying to capture the city, regardless of the losses in both manpower and equipment. There is no enemy Russian army in the city. The city is now ours. The situation around the city is difficult, but the situation is under control, our defenders are receiving reinforcements and stabilizing the strip."
