The National Security and Defense Council adopted the Defense Plan of Ukraine

The approval of the Defense Plan of Ukraine is an unprecedented event in the history of independent Ukraine. Alexei Danilov, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, told the media about this at a briefing after the National Security and Defense Council meeting.

 

«For the first time in the history of independent Ukraine, Ukraine's defense plan was approved. This document provides clear answers to the challenges facing Ukraine,» Danilov said.

 

The document has been under development for about two years.

 

«It is the first fundamental document. It is completely secret,» - Danilov noted.

 

In addition, today the meeting of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine approved an increase in the budget of the defense and security sector for next year. 5.95% of GDP – this amount of funding for the sector is planned in the state budget.

 

The Rada also imposed sanctions on those involved in illegal elections in Donbas and Crimea.
