The President of Ukraine discussed with the President of the European Council the situation on the Belarusian border

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky discussed the situation on the border of the European Union and Belarus with the President of the European Council, Charles Michel. Volodymyr Zelenski reported about it in his Twitter.

"Discussed with Charles Michel the situation on the border of the EU and Belarus and other security problems in the region. We agreed to coordinate such steps. We must act together against hybrid attacks," the message reads.

It is noteworthy that it was previously reported that the Belarusian side is preparing for a new attempt to cross the Belarusian-Polish border, where migrants have gathered. The previous night was turbulent - stones were thrown at the Polish law enforcers at the border. The situation also escalated - with shooting in the air.

To avoid an influx of migrants from Belarus, Ukraine is strengthening the protection of the state border with its neighboring country. According to the Minister of Internal Affairs Denis Monastyrski, the most vulnerable sections of the Ukrainian-Belarusian border will be strengthened by additional units of the State Border Service, National Police and National Guard. We are talking about 8,500 law enforcers.
