The death toll from the eruption of the Semera volcano on the Indonesian island of Java has risen to 15, with another 27 people reported missing.
Rescue efforts resumed Dec. 6 after delays caused by poor weather conditions, including smoldering debris and mud from heavy rains.
Rescuers retrieved the body of a 13-year-old boy from under the rubble after the weather cleared. At least 56 people have been hospitalized, mostly with burns.
Recall, the volcano erupted on December 4, raising a giant plume of ash and burning gas 15,000 meters into the air.
