Large-scale fire in a hotel in the Vinnitsa region: the police opened proceedings

On the fact of the fire in the countryside holiday complex "Butterfly" in Vinnitsa region, where one person died, the police opened criminal proceedings. This is reported by the police of the Vinnitsa region.

 

The State Emergencies Service reported that the fire broke out on the sixth floor in the building of the hotel and restaurant complex.

 

"Police officers and rescuers evacuated about 60 people, including 53 children," the report said. 

 

It is reported that according to preliminary information, three people jumped out of the window in the fire. A girl died of her injuries. Information about her is being established. Two more people - a 19-year-old girl and a 43-year-old man were hospitalized in the hospital.

 

"The police began criminal proceedings under part 2 of Art. 270 of the Criminal Code (Violation of established by law requirements of fire safety), for which provides for up to 8 years of imprisonment," - noted in the message.

 

As indicated in the State Emergencies Service, the fire has already been eliminated.
