The Kremlin has responded to the possibility of a trip to Turkey. This was stated by the press secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov, reports RBC-Ukraine, referring to TASS.

Note that Turkish President Recep Erdogan invited Russian President Vladimir Putin to Turkey, and also repeatedly offered to organize his meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

At the briefing, Dmitry Peskov said that the trip would take place as soon as the epidemiological situation and schedules allow.

Peskov noted that there has been some pause in both the intergovernmental commission and the highest body of bilateral relations, which is headed by the two presidents. Erdogan said he was ready to host all these events in Turkey, he added.

"President Putin gratefully accepted that invitation. And they have agreed that as soon as the a) epidemiological situation and b) schedules allow, he will definitely take advantage of this invitation," Peskov said.

Earlier, Turkish President Recep Erdogan confirmed the proposal to hold a summit of the presidents of Russia and Ukraine in Turkey.

The Kremlin said that Turkey was ready to invite representatives of the "LDNR" to the meeting between Putin and Zelensky.
