NATO Secretary General discussed with Erdogan the Russian troop build-up around Ukraine

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg on Monday in a telephone conversation with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan discussed Turkey's involvement in finding a political solution to the crisis with Russia.

 

Stoltenberg said this on Twitter, writes European Pravda. 

 

"Chatted with President Erdogan to discuss Russia's increasing presence in and around Ukraine. I thanked him for his active support and personal involvement in finding a political solution and welcomed Turkey's strong practical support for Ukraine. NATO remains ready for dialogue," Jens Stoltenberg noted.

 

As a reminder, the President of Turkey was on a visit to Kyiv on February 3. He stated that he was ready to do everything possible "to end the crisis of the two neighboring across the sea friendly states."

 

During Erdogan's visit, an agreement on a free trade zone between the countries was signed, as well as an agreement expanding the production of unmanned aerial vehicles by the Turkish company Baykar in Ukraine.
