One of the attackers on Zurab Adeishvili, assistant of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine Iryna Venediktova, was a 34-year-old foreigner. The police tracked down and detained the man, after which they informed him of the suspicion. This was reported on Thursday, February 10, by the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine on its website.

According to law enforcement officials, the detainee is charged with Part 4 of Article 296 (hooliganism). The sanction of this article provides imprisonment for a term of three to seven years. The search for accomplices to the crime continues, added the Interior Ministry.

Recall, the attack on the 49-year-old Adeishvili occurred on February 7 on Tverskaya Tupik Street in Kiev. According to mass media, four people at first asked his surname and, having made sure that it was the assistant to the Prosecutor General before them, beat him and then escaped. The victim was hospitalized.
