Zelensky sees no withdrawal of Russian troops from the border with Ukraine - BBC

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky says that the Ukrainian side has not observed a withdrawal of Russian troops from the Russian Federation, despite relevant statements, the BBC reports.

"Frankly, we are reacting to the realities we have, and we don't see any withdrawal yet. We just heard about it," Zelensky said in a BBC commentary at a military training ground in the Rivne region in response to reports from Russia about the withdrawal of some troops from the border.

He added that when the troops are withdrawn, everyone will see it, not just the military or intelligence. "But for now these are just statements," the head of state stressed.

At the same time, he noted that "all normal people expect de-escalation."

"As for the threat, I've said many times that we take any threat calmly, because we remember that all this did not start yesterday. It's been going on for years," Zelensky said.
