Lavrov about the meeting with Kuleba: no one was going to negotiate a cease-fire

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has said that he did not intend to negotiate a cease-fire at a meeting with Ukrainian Minister Dmytro Kuleba. According to him, all the "proposals" are known to the Ukrainian side.

This was reported by RBC-Ukraine, citing a briefing by Lavrov.

"I am not surprised that Mr. Kuleba said that it was not possible to negotiate a cease-fire. No one here was going to negotiate a cease-fire. All these proposals and the sequence of steps are well known to the Ukrainian side," he noted.

As a reminder, earlier Lavrov stated that the negotiations between Ukraine and Russia in Belarus have no alternative and contacts at the level of foreign ministers will not be able to substitute them.
