The Russian military abducts Ukrainian children and uses them as human shields when moving their convoys of equipment.
This was reported by the Main Directorate of Intelligence.
According to residents of the village of Novy Bykov in the Chernihiv region, soldiers have taken local children hostage and put them in trucks. This way they "insure" columns with equipment.
"In addition, the occupiers use children as hostages - as a guarantee that the local population will not give the coordinates of the enemy's movements to the Ukrainian defenders. Cases of the use of children as a cover are recorded in Sumy, Kyiv, Chernihiv and Zaporizhzhia regions," the report says.
It is noted that the cases of inhuman treatment of children are recorded by the Ukrainian side and international institutions. Also, information about each of them will be transferred to international criminal courts.
