Ukraine's budget loses about 2 billion hryvnias a day because of the war - Shmygal

Because of Russia's war against Ukraine, the budget loses about 2 billion hryvnias a day. But the final calculations will be made after the hostilities.

This was stated by Prime Minister Denis Shmygal in an interview to the media.

"Now if we talk about the calculations of the Ministry of Finance on budget losses, Ukraine's losses are about 2 billion hryvnias a day. If we talk about infrastructure losses, they tentatively amounted to $119 billion in a month of war. That is $4.25 billion a day," noted Shmygal.

According to him, if we add military losses and increased military and social spending, support programs, losses of the economy and businesses, then we have to talk about the amount of $565 billion.

"I do not even want to divide it into days. The losses are unequivocally huge. But we have to be optimistic, we will recover at the same rate. I'm sure of it," the prime minister added.

We will remind, earlier Shmygal said that taking into account future losses, the damage to Ukraine from the war exceeds 1 trillion dollars.
