The conclusion of the European Commission on the application of Ukraine, Moldova and Georgia for EU membership is expected on June 8 or 15. This was stated on Twitter by Radio Liberty journalist Rickard Jozwiak, who covers topics of EU policy on the eastern neighboring countries.

"The European Commission will present its opinion on the EU accession application of Ukraine, Moldova and Georgia either on June 8 or June 15. "The 'potential candidate' status for Ukraine is more likely and acceptable to some EU member states placing the country in the same 'basket' as Bosnia and Kosovo," Jozwiak said.
