European Commission approves post-war reconstruction plan for Ukraine

The European Commission has approved a plan for the post-war reconstruction of Ukraine. In addition, the EU will allocate 9bn euros of macrofinancial assistance for Ukraine. This was announced by Prime Minister Denys Shmygal.

 

It is noted that the plan was developed by the National Council for post-war reconstruction. It is this document will be based on the European Union. According to the head of the government, Ukraine will be the "owner" of the process. It is planned to involve European partners for maximal transparency and efficiency.

 

The reconstruction plan contains four main principles:

 

Restoration of all infrastructure according to the latest standards and European policies;

 

Modernization of the Ukrainian state and institutions;

 

Maximum integration of Ukraine with the EU in all areas and directions;

 

economic transformation, including new opportunities for Ukrainian business.

 

"We are grateful to the European Commission for adopting this document, which demonstrates an extraordinary level of solidarity with our country. We are confident in victory and just as confident that we will rebuild our beautiful Ukraine, which will be a strong and equal member of the European Union," Shmygal added.
