Finnish Ambassador Päivi Line has returned to her post in Kyiv. This happened after she and other employees of the diplomatic mission left Ukraine in connection with the Russian invasion. This became known from the press release of the Finnish Foreign Ministry.

The diplomatic mission in Ukraine will continue to work in a special mode. Consequently, customer service and the receipt of applications for visas and residence permits are not available, the release said.

For the time being, the Finnish Foreign Ministry recommends refraining from travelling to Ukraine and urges to leave the country immediately.
