We need to rethink the need for the CCU - deputy head of the OC

Ukraine may liquidate the Constitutional Court as it exists now. This was stated in an interview with the deputy head of the OP Andriy Smirnov to the publication Radio Svoboda.

"I emphasize the fact that the constitutional reform that was carried out under Petro Poroshenko created the Constitutional Court as a body that is generally untouchable compared to any other state body," he said.

In Smirnov's opinion, this reform is a shameful phenomenon, which must be scrapped and a new reform must be made in which "to rethink the need for the CCU's existence".

At the moment, according to the deputy head of the CCU, there is a process of searching for an answer to the question of what a reformed CCU should look like. Experts in constitutional law will be involved in this process.
